From rapiermarshal at insulaedraconis.org Tue Jul 19 14:32:41 2022 From: rapiermarshal at insulaedraconis.org (Insulae Draconis Rapier Marshal) Date: Tue, 19 Jul 2022 19:32:41 +0100 Subject: [IDRM] second quarter reports due Message-ID: Hi everyone Its time for reports - technically due already, but feel free to keep sending them in this week (before Friday) - thanks to those who have already sent a report. Again this quarter, an email to the Principality Rapier Marshal email is fine. I am mostly looking for reports from three groups of people. First, those who run regular practices (whether they are a group marshal or not) need to be reporting. Second, marshals who have worked with MiTs in the last quarter should be reporting (unless they are warranting marshals themselves), so that the Principality Rapier Marshal knows how those MiTs are progressing from the point of view of the marshals they have worked with. Third, MiTs who have been doing supervised marshalling work in the last quarter should report (unless they have been working under the supervision of warranting marshals only), so that the Principality Rapier Marshal knows how those MiTs are progressing from their point of view. Additionally, if there have been any persistent issues, either with the rules, or with individuals behaviour, and it hasn't been reported, please report these. Other things to be aware of as we move into more in person events. To retain your marshal's warrant, you must maintain your SCA or Affiliate membership. The authorisation database doesn't get updated if you don't (re)authorise, unless you report, providing your membership details. The amnesty for not reauthorising that the Kingdom Rapier Marshall issued during the height of the plague was for one year only. This means that many people's authorisation have now technically lapsed, without them realising it. Suggest that all your fencers check their authorisation expiry date and look to reauthorise if needed. As a reminder, if they have fenced with a marshal recently, and the marshal is happy they are still safe in all their authorised forms, that marshal can email the Card Marshal ( fencing_cards at drachenwald.sca.org should work, I believe) to let them know that someone has reauthorised. This is also a good opportunity to make sure that fencer's details are correct in the database! In service, Esbiorn -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed...
